Harnessing and Solidifying Unity through Sports is the central idea of this year Marinduque State College (MSC) Olympics. With almost 3 days of the Olympics that have passed by, we will have an in-depth analysis of our theme and its correlation to the real happenings in the Olympics. HARNESS. (v) to unite firmly or consolidate One of the greatest change in MSC Olympics was that SHS and JHS were separated from the College. This gave chance for our younger fellows to show their talents since they will no longer need to compete with seasoned athletes in the college division. However, if we will talk about solidifying unity, events with similar characteristics may be better held simultaneously. The field demo of the High Schools may be done right after the Colleges’ cheer dance competition likewise the dance sports competitions of High School and College be done at the same time. In this manner, MSCians will be gathered in the same venues unified with the same drive, to cheer for their representatives. Also, having this event at the same time will save money and effort. UNITY.

These events were successfully held that gave birth for new friendship and companionship. Furthermore, sports truly and undeniably harnessed unity. One of the momentous event in the Olympics that exemplified unity thru sport was when one of the Chirons’ player got injured during the softball championship and then the first reaction of the opposing player was to help her. This simple act of kindness despite representing opposing theme is remarkably solidifying the bond between every MSCIANS SPORT.
an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, etc. The theme only considered sports where in fact there were also competitions in literary, academics, and cultural events. Similar to the athletes, these students engaged in this event also exerted efforts to excel and win in their respective field. It is not only through sports that unity will be harnessed and solidify. Friendship and camaraderie is also develop in mind-battles. Dr. Mani said on her speech during the opening of the event, that at the end of the day, friendship should blossom, among faculty members and the students of different units and campuses. This reminder should be kept in mind by every MSCians.
