Writers’ Struggles

Chinny Go

Know this, having the privilege to be a part of the school publication is of worth, despite having experienced staying up late in the campus to edit, encode, to scramble and find appropriate words to create numerous articles. So that when the next day comes, a freshly printed newspaper will be at everyone’s desk, ready to inform of what important events had happened.

Genuinely admitting, it does feels good. Accomplishing a significant task feels fulfilling. And so, a journalist can proudly walk up straight, holding his chin up for a job done.

In relation with the current event, the MSC Olympics, once more the publication team gets busier for the burden of informing what was on their hands. This is fine and acceptable; after all, our writers chose to be in it.

However, difficulties had been observed. Scouring through members of the publication team, what will be mentioned are their main concerns:

Scheduling of the events, delays and limited preparations– Student No. 1Scheduling and venue of events – Student No. 2Lack of announcements and information on the event – Student No. 3Time of the games conflicts– Student No. 4Identification card. Because it’s hard going in to the events without having one – Student No. 5

The said concerns hinder the team with their regards of having systematic, easy and smooth features of articles.

The bright side, hence, is the fact that issues like this can be fix and serves as a gateway for improvement.

Thus, kudos to all who had contributed for the aimed success of MSC Olympics 2018.
